Introduction:
EMSA (also known as gel-shift assay) can be used to study the binding of target proteins to specific DNA sequences, thereby investigating the activation levels of certain transcription factors within cells. The EMSA/Gel-Shift Sample Loading Buffer (Blue, 4×) is suitable for sample loading after the binding reaction between nuclear proteins or purified transcription factors and specific double-stranded oligonucleotides in EMSA studies.
The EMSA/Gel-Shift Sample Loading Buffer (Blue, 4×) contains bromophenol blue, which may sometimes interfere with the binding reaction between the target transcription factor and specific double-stranded oligonucleotides. If interference occurs, the bromophenol blue-free EMSA/Gel-Shift Sample Loading Buffer (Colorless, 4×) is available as an alternative.
Storage: Store at -20℃ for 12 months. It is recommended to freeze and store in aliquots to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Protocol (for reference only):
Mix the sample with the loading buffer at a ratio of 3 μL sample to 1 μL Loading Buffer (4×). After mixing thoroughly, load the sample immediately.
