Introduction:

5× Protein Sample Loading Buffer for SDS-PAGE is a modified protein loading buffer with bromophenol blue as dye and offered at 5× concentration. It can be used for routine SDS-PAGE protein sample loading. This product contains SDS, DTT, bromophenol blue, etc. Among them, bromophenol blue is used to indicate the electrophoresis process; the density of glycerol is relatively large, which is used to increase the density of the sample and cause the sample to settle.

Storage: Store at -20°C for one year. It is recommended to freeze and store in aliquots to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Protocol (for reference only):

1. Mix 5× Protein Sample Loading Buffer for SDS-PAGE with your protein sample with 1:4 ratio.
2. Heat the sample mixture at 100°C for 3-5 minutes to denature proteins completely.
3. Directly load the sample mixture into the wells of the PAGE gel after it has cooled to room temperature.
4. The electrophoresis can be stopped when bromophenol blue reaches near the bottom of the PAGE gel.

1. This product is offered in 5× format and it should be diluted into 1× working solution according to the experimental requirements.
