Introduction:

Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins control the processes of cell differentiation, proliferation, signal transduction and apoptosis. Covalent binding of phosphate groups can change the conformation of proteins and the binding capacity of ligands. In the process of protein extraction from animal cells or tissues, phosphorylated proteins are easily degraded by cell bodies and exogenous phosphatases.

Phosphatase inhibitor (50×) is a mixture of various phosphatase inhibitors, which can effectively inhibit various phosphatases such as tyrosine phosphatase, serine phosphatase, threonine phosphatase, acid and alkaline phosphatase. It is suitable for protein extraction from animal cells or tissue, and can maintain protein phosphorylation to the greatest extent. It is often used in the study of protein kinase activity and signal transduction in animal cells or tissues.

Storage: Store at -20°C away from light, valid for 12 months.

Protocol:

1. Vortex the bottle before use to ensure a homogeneous suspension.
2. Immediately before use, add 20 µL of the phosphatase inhibitor cocktail per milliliter of sample directly to the cell lysis buffer or extract to produce a 1× final concentration.
