Introduction:

Phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride, abbreviated as PMSF, has a molecular formula of C₇H₇FO₂S, a molecular weight of 174.19, and a purity of >99%. PMSF is a commonly used biochemical reagent. This product is prepared with imported reagents. It can inhibit the activity of serine proteases such as trypsin and chymotrypsin, as well as cysteine proteases and acetylcholinesterase. Its effective concentration is 0.1 ~1 mM.

Storage: Store at -20°C away from light, valid for 6 months.

Protocol:

1. Vortex the bottle before use to ensure a homogeneous suspension.
2. Immediately before use, add appropriate volume of PMSF directly to the cell lysis buffer or extract to produce a final concentration of 1 mM.
