Introduction:

Hepes Running buffer is formulated for separation of proteins in their denaturing or nondenaturing state on Hepes-Tris gels. This product is available in powder form, a total of 10 packs, each pack can prepare 500 mL of 1× working solution.

Storage: Store at room temperature, valid for 2 years.

Protocol (for reference only):

1. Take 1 pack of powder that can prepare 500 mL of hepes running buffer, pour it into a clean beaker, add 400 mL distilled water and stir to dissolve the powder completely.
2. Make up to 500 mL in the graduated cylinder with distilled water, which is 1× working solution and can be used after mixing.
3. Unused running buffer can be stored at room temperature, usually 2-3 days at room temperature and 1-2 weeks at 4°C.

Notes:

1. 1× working buffer should not be used for more than 2 weeks after preparation.
2. This running buffer is suitable for Hepes-Tris gels, and should not be used for gels with other chemistries.
3. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
