Introduction:

WSHT's GLASS Gels (Zymogram) are excellent tools for detecting and characterizing protease with gelatin as a substrate. Samples running under denaturing conditions show proteolytic activity after renaturing, then consume substrate and can be visualized as clear bands against blue background of Coomassie Blue.
