Introduction:

Tris-Acetate Running buffer is formulated for separation of large-sized proteins on Tris-Acetate gels. Tris-Acetate gels provide excellent separation of large molecular weight proteins when used with Tris-Acetate Running Buffer. This product is available in powder form, each pack can prepare 5 L of 1× working solution.

Storage: Store at room temperature, valid for 2 years.

Protocol (for reference only):

1. Take 1 pack of powder that can prepare 5 L of Tris-Acetate running buffer, pour it into a clean beaker, add 400 mL deionized water and stir to dissolve the powder completely.
2. Make up to 500 mL in the graduated cylinder with deionized water, which is 10× mother liquor and should be diluted to 1× concentration before use.
3. Measure 50 mL of 10× mother liquor, pour it into a clean beaker, add deionized water to about 400 mL, and mix well.
4. Make up to 500 mL in the graduated cylinder with deionized water, which is 1× working solution and can be used after mixing.
5. Unused running buffer can be stored at room temperature, usually 2-3 days at room temperature and 1-2 weeks at 4°C.

Notes:

1. 1× working buffer should not be used for more than 2 weeks after preparation.
2. This running buffer is suitable for Tris-Acetate gels, and should not be used for gels with other chemistries.
3. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
