Gel Red is a highly sensitive, non-mutagenic, ultra-safe and ultra-stable fluorescent nucleic acid gel staining reagent (at working concentration). It is an alternative to ethidium bromide (EtBr, EB) with much higher sensitivity than EB without the need for destaining. Gel Red has the same spectral properties as EB, and it can replace EB without changing the imaging system.
