Immunoblotting, also known as Western blot, is a method for detecting a certain protein in a complex sample based on the specific binding of antigen and antibody. Western blot is a new immune-biochemical technology developed on the basis of gel electrophoresis and solid-phase immunoassay technology. Due to the high resolution of SDS-PAGE and the high specificity and sensitivity of solid-phase immunoassays, Western blot has now become a routine technique for protein analysis. Western blot is often used to identify a certain protein, and can perform qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of the protein.
●The protein samples or protein crude extracts that need to be fresh or properly preserved, the tissue samples should not be less than 50 mg; the cells should not be less than 5×106; the total protein concentration should not be less than 2μg/μL (at least 50μL).
●Positive control sample (if any).
●Primary antibody for detecting the target protein (or purchased by WSHTBio).
●SDS-PAGE detection pattern.
